- Signed below the engraving on the left "Hallé del.", on the right "Denon Sculp."
- Hallé's small painting was exhibited at the Salon of 1763 with a counterpart, both 4 feet.
- There is also a sketch by G. de Saint-Aubin of the painting and an engraving by Louis-Marin Bonnet (1769) (Paris, Bibl. de l'Institut d'Art et d'Archéologie).
