Description
Barefoot Moses, supported by his shepherd's staff, covers his eyes before the burning bush. :
"Then Moses veiled his face, for he feared to fix his gaze on God. " (Ex 3:6.)
No supernatural representation here, whereas the biblical episode is saturated with magic and wonder: the burning bush could be a simple fire of branches.
