History :
1. Signed lower left: "Chardin ".
2. From the La Caze collection. La Caze bequest to the Louvre in 1869.
3. During Pears, walnuts and a glass of wine.
Another, larger version of this painting existed in the Henry de Rotschild collection and was destroyed during WWII.
