Description
" The two angels came to Sodom on the evening; and Lot was sitting at the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them, he got up to meet them, and bowed down with his face to the ground.
Then he said, "Behold, my lords, enter, I pray you, into the house of your servant, and spend the night there; wash your feet, and you shall rise early in the morning, and go on your way. No," they replied, "we'll spend the night in the street. But Lot pressed them so hard that they came to him and entered his house." (Genesis XIX, 1-3, trans. L. Second)
