Anti-Semitic legend.
The pawnbroker and his pregnant wife, accompanied by their two children, desecrate a consecrated host by burning it in the fireplace. Blood dripping from the host spills under the door of the house and alerts the soldiers outside.
History :
2. Former predella of Juste de Gand's altarpiece, the Communion of the Apostles, in the Corpus Domini church in Urbino until its demolition.
