Le portrait central est exécuté d'après le portrait « Chandos ». On reconnaît en haut à gauche Bottom déguisé en âne.
History :
1. Signé en bas de la gravure à gauche « W. HARVEY DEL. », à droite « J. N° THOMPSON SCULP. »
3. L'image conservée dans la bibliothèque numérique Folger, cote ART File S527 no.116 copy 1, n'est pas le frontispice original, mais une reproduction dans un volume intitulé Embellished Books.
