Description
The story does not strongly condemn the massacre:
"They took to Germany, slitting the throats of any Jews they met along the way, because it seemed logical to them to exterminate the posterity of those who had nailed to the cross of Golgotha the holy victim whose tomb they were going to reclaim. But violence leads to violence: along with the Jews, they did kill a few Christians, and looted everywhere to procure food." (p. 187)
In other words, the massacre is "logical", but it's a pity it spilled over onto a few Christians!!!
