- Signed upper right "GUS BOFA".
Inscription lower left "JOCKS, TOMMIES, AND C.y.". Soldiers in the British Army were nicknamed "Tommies". Soldiers in the Scottish Highlands and Lowlands regiments were nicknamed "Jocks".
