Description
In this first sketch, God the Father is not present: it's an angel handing Christ the celestial key in front of a kneeling Saint Peter. The angel's pink tunic, inflated by the wind and concentrating the light on itself, forms a mandorla in the center of the canvas, suggesting his presence.
