History :
2. Ravisius Textor is the Latin name of Jean Tixier de Ravisi (c. 1480-1522), humanist compiler.
3. This frontispiece, borrowed from the 2-vol. edition of Virgil's works, Jehan Petit, 1529, was reused for the edition of numerous texts unrelated to Virgil.
