Description
History :
- The work has been sucessively attributed to Francesco Francia; to Dürer; to Leonardo because of an apocryphal inscription ("Leonardo Vinci fece 1492") which, on the cartouche at the bottom, probably covered or replaced the original signature. Attributed to Cima sa Conegliano in 1875 (Martini) and 1887 (Pigorini).
