Description
The treacherous Lord Gwytherin has decided to seduce the orphaned Jacinta, staying with Mr. Greville, by any means possible. He organized a masquerade at his castle, but Mr. Greville refused to let his family join in the fun. Lord Gwytherin then decided to send his target a letter signed by Hyacinth's lover, Egbert Oswald, inviting him to the masquerade, as well as sending him a costume and mask. Unaware of the deception, the naïve Jacinthe followed the antagonist, who led her to a secluded lair: he keeps his mask on until the very end in front of his victim, who doesn't understand the licentious advances made by her so-called friend.
