2. Former Hélène Loeb then Victor Lyon collection;
Donated to the Musée du Louvre subject to usufruct in 1961;
Enters the museum in 1977.
3. This painting has as its counterpart Jesus healing the paralytic of Bethesda or La Piscine probatique, also preserved in the Louvre.
Tiepolo painted another Christ and the adulterous woman, preserved in Marseille.
