2. Discovered during the Pontificate of Urban VIII at the Castel Sant'Angelo in Rome, it entered the Barberini collection. The first restorations were carried out in stucco, resumed in 1679 by Giuseppe Giorgetti and Lorenzo Ottoni, who reassigned the faun's antique left leg and created the rock-shaped support.
