Description

23rd figure.
Subject. Edmond, at table with his corrupter Gaudet, Fr. Vicaire, Fr. Gardien, and young Brother Saint-Hermine. Gaudet responds to Edmond's surprise, and lets him hear what the following word expresses: "Les belles did not captivate the fathers absolutely."
