Subject. Edmond prostrating himself on the graves of his father and mother, where he has just placed two sculptures that he has dedicated: one depicts him prostrating himself at the old man's knees; the other, on his mother's grave, is a snake biting a woman's breast.
Edmond prostrates himself on his father's grave, on which he has just placed a sculpture he made, depicting himself at his father's feet.
