Description

History :

1. Signed "Carle Vanloo".

2. Executed in 1741 for the right altar of the Brothers' choir at the Chartreuse de Champmol. Revolutionary seizure from the Chartreuse. Acquired by the museum in 1799.

3. During: Saint Georges terrassant le dragon.
Copy of the painting by Jean-Simon Berthélémy in 1747 (240 x 1136 cm), donated to the church of Mesnil-Saint Denis by Charles de Selle, lord of the time.
