Description
The treacherous Hildebrand Warren asked for the hand of his cousin Agnes Warren, who spurned him with the support of her father. In revenge, Hildebrand kidnapped Agnes and locked her up in Netley Abbey, which is under his control. One night, when she tries to escape, she discovers to her astonishment that her father is also locked up in a dungeon, where he is left to starve: believing he sees his nephew approaching, he begs his absent tormentor to kindly give him something to eat.
