Description
Lioncel, an émigré wanted by his rival Oursonviliers, has managed to return to France with the help of his two friends, Francœur and Gaubiac. Dressed as a Hussard, he returns to an inn, but that's exactly where Oursonvilliers is.
Oursonvilliers attacks Lioncel, who defends himself and wounds him. The other French patriots present, who had also taken up arms to defend Oursonvilliers, retreat. Lioncel appeals to them, in a burst of generosity, to rescue his rival.
