Notice précédente Notice n°2 sur 2
Description
Delphina and her lover Dom Manuel de Roxante have managed to flee in the middle of the night from their persecutors, Duke Ferdinand de Zarbès, who loves Delphina, and his treacherous acolyte Father Quevaldo. During their journey, they rest with their two freed former slaves, Sélico and Azor, by a river, and the men visit a nearby cave while Delphina waits for them. While they're away, a crocodile emerges from the river and approaches Delphina, who faints. It's the group's dog who first repels the beast: its bark sounds the alarm for the three men, who return as quickly as possible to neutralize the animal, while the horses panic.
