Description
Count Dunreath banished his daughter Malvina after learning of her secret marriage to her lover, Fitzalan. A few years later, Malvina and Fitzalan find themselves destitute. They try to soften the Count's heart by sending their son Oscar, accompanied by a peasant, to deliver a letter to him. This seems to work for a while, as evidenced by the image showing the Count surprised in front of his grandson, but this is without counting on his wife, also Malvina's mother-in-law, who maneuvers to keep him away from his family.
