15. La Toilette d'une Sultane.
Tableau 12 feet wide, by 10 feet high.
[...] These Paintings are for the King & intended to be executed in Tapestry.
History :
- Signed and dated lower right "Amédée Van Loo 1774".
- Painting intended to be executed as tapestry by the Gobelins manufacture (hanging of the Costume turc); of the other three paintings for this hanging, two have been deposited by the Louvre at the Musée Chéret in Nice: INV. 6385 and 6387, the third has disappeared.
