Description

Nine days they fell. (Book VI, 871)

The archangel Raphael tells Adam and Eve about the rebellion of Lucifer's army.

After three days of combat between the rebellious angels and the angels loyal to God, Jesus appears on his chariot of fire and hurls his adversaries into a nine-day fall before landing in Hell, definitively putting an end to all their hopes.
