Description
A villager having lost his calf, Went looking for it in the nearby forest. He placed himself on the fairest tree, To hear better, and to see into the plain. A lady came with a young boy. The place pleases them, water comes to their mouths And the gallant, who on the grass lays her down, Cries out upon seeing I know not what appas : O gods, what do I see, and what do I not see ! Without saying what : for they were closed letters ; When the manant stopping them all coi : Homme de biens, qui voyez tant de choses, Voyez-vous point mon veau ? dites-le moi.
