Description
This said, they both betook them several ways. (Book X, 610)
Taking advantage of Satan's success, Sin and Death build a bridge linking Hell to the newly corrupted world, symbolizing its openness to demonic forces. They then prepare to spread to Earth in order to introduce moral corruption and mortality, causing the derangement and decay of all Creation.
